The site of La Maison de Perrine is a historical destination  within itself, rich with history and beauty. It is a 300 yr old converted convent located in the heart of a sleepy French village between the Loire Valley and Normandy (around three hours from Paris).

Jerry and Caroline (Zoobie) Jones have spent 40 years in full time ministry in the UK and Southern California.  Although ministering in England they have been hosting students for over 30 years in France.

We will have daily art sessions with Robin Barrier, Donna Grey, and Trina Ross allowing you to fully embrace your God-given creativity. No previous art skills are needed just a willingness to learn.

Special early bird price of $1000 for the first 6 people to enroll.

$1200 for  7th -12th person to enroll.

What does the cost include?

  • Pick-up and drop off from local train station (Evron)

● All art workshops, plus supplies 

● All transportation on tours 

● 7  nights lodging at retreat center

● 3 meals per day at retreat center 

● Picnic lunches on travel days

  • Maximum 12 students 

Does Not Include:

Airfare, Transportation from airport to pick up point at Evron train stop, entrance fees into sites, and personal spending money.

The nearest and most cost effective airport to fly into is Paris. It is suggested to take a day and recover from your travel. We have recommendations from our hosts for safe and quiet places to stay in Paris. 

From Paris you will take at train to Montparnasse and you will be picked up at either the Laval or Evron . More exact details will be provided.

There are 12 rooms that can be used in single or multiple occupancy. Most rooms have single beds, with linens provided. Each room has a wash basin, a wardrobe, small table with a chair, nightstand and bedside light. The shower room and WC are a few steps down the hall. What are the accommodations like?

Meals are prepared and taken together family style. If you have medically diagnosed food allergies please let us know. You may be able to supplement the meals offered with your own food. There is a microwave, fridge, and kettle, available for your use.  

There is a small convenience store in town and a larger store about 20 minutes away in Mayenne. It is recommended to purchase snacks, drinks, or additional food ahead of time if desired.

How do I sign up?

  1. Is their wifi? Yes but it is stronger  in some places.
  2. What is the weather like? August is a moderately hot month in Mayenne, with an average temperature varying between 74 and 54 F.
  3. What about Medical Facilities or access to medication? There is an ER in Mayenne about 20 minutes away. The village has a local Dr. that is open 3 mornings per week for drop ins. You do need to bring all OTC medications. In France you can not buy medications except at a Pharmacy.

Class is limited to 12 and a $200 non-refundable deposit will hold your spot. Remember the first 6 get the early bird discount.
